Casey Anthony’s attorney wants her to travel. They have filed a motion in Orange County Court seeking permission to travel beyond her current confinement restraints, so Casey can reportedly help search for her missing daughter, 3-year-old Caylee Anthony. The toddler has been missing since mid-June. However, the youngster wasn’t reported as missing to authorities until mid-July. Casey Anthony has told authorities that Caylee was with a baby sitter. Anthony's family recently said that the baby sitter may have taken Caylee to Puerto Rico.
Joe Baez, attorney for Casey, Monday filed several other legal motions. One includes having access to his client’s car, so their own tests can be conducted. Another requests law enforcement hand over all forensic evidence regardless of whether prosecutors will use it. Casey is currently charged with child neglect in the case. The prosecution says it has evidence that indicated chloroform, hair samples and Caylee’s DNA were found in the trunk of the car. Baez also wants Orange County sheriff's detectives to hand over all information about any women named Zenaida Gonzalez. That's the name of the baby sitter Anthony told detectives she left Caylee with at an Orange County apartment complex in June. The Kissimmee woman is now suing Casey Anthony for defamation, saying her life is ruined.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Attorneys for Casey Anthony, who's suspected in the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter Caylee, will go to court Friday to try to convince a judge to allow them to take Casey to "places of interest" in her case without the public knowing about it.
Casey must get prior permission from the jail to leave her house and that schedule is public record.

Ok..it's obvious what Baez is doing. He's asking for Casey to be allowed to "search" for Caylee. He knows the judge is going to reject the request, leaving Baez to say to the public--and in trial--that Casey wanted to find Caylee, but the court wouldn't let her.
If I were the judge, I'd say, "Sure, I'll let her look for Caylee. However, she's going to be accompanied by two deputies at any time that she leaves the home to search. Before she can leave the home, she must call the sheriff's department and let them know that she's about to search. Two deputies will pick her up in a patrol car, and drive her anywhere she feels that she needs to look."
