OK, I’m having a vision…here’s tomorrow’s headlines: Attorney wants jail to remove bars from client’s cell. Jose Baez filed a motion in court today asking the jail to “immediately remove and otherwise eradicate the excessively hard metal confines of her room that have consistently impeded her freedom of movement and her right to engage in normal appendage and body movement” and that such “barbaric and offensive vertical barriers” have been implemented “solely to harass, annoy and embarrass” his client. Further, the motion demands the bars be replaced with “aesthetically pleasing enclosures, such as linen or silk curtains, preferably in a soft pastel or neutral color of my client’s choosing”. The motion also included a demand for the immediate alteration of the “emotionally offensive gray color” of his client’s “room” and requests that she be provided with a “more calming and pleasing environmental hue, such as pink or buttercup” for her “room”. Anthony has signed an affidavit which states in part “…I absolutely can’t even put both arms out and tilt my head back with my eyes shut and twirl around in my room without absolutely bumping my hands into those nasty bars. I’m absolutely suffering and it’s just NOT FAIR.” The judge is scheduled to rule on the motion in a hearing scheduled for the day after hell freezes over.
