Well apparently, Ronald Cummings proposed to Misty Croslin last night at Chili's and they are engaged.
Call me crazy, but if my daughter, (God forbid) was missing, proposing to someone wouldn't be my first priority.
He says its what Haleigh wanted. She wants him to marry Misty so they can be a family. I find it hard to believe a 5 year old little girl would care if her daddy was married to his teenage girlfriend or not. They have been living together for 5 months, been together that long, so they were living as a family.
Where is this little girl?? I wish LE could break this case and bring Haleigh home, but we all know as each and everyday passes, it's not looking good.
God Bless Haleigh.

Well, Haleigh "wanted" them to get married and so did the four year old brother, according to Croslin, and I bet Haleigh also wanted Croslin to go up the street and smoke some crack and leave the house door wide open too

This one is getting "squirrelier" by the minute. There is alot more happening here than meets the eye. The last thing I would think would be on the agenda would be getting married! For any reason! Maybe Misty thinks if she is married to Ronald, he won't be as apt to kick the shit out of her when the story really surfaces. (If it ever does.) Why do you suppose that everyone was sleeping in the same room? Matress on the floor...I would think the trailer they live in has more than one bedroom. Obvoiusly , it is the master bedroom, where there is a bathroom...why did Misty go to the other bathroom so much further away? Is that not what I saw and heard when the Nancy Grace people were walking the crime scene?

I'd consider the fact that Misty is just 17 years old and has been living in there for a few months... Ronald is definitely over 20... I live in the area and I think the decision was probably made to prevent any legal issues later since their relationship is questionable legally.

That might be one reason, or she's pregnant, or someone told her married couples don't have to testify against one another, or a combination of those things. I think the whole thing was stupid, and they went to NYC on their "honeymoon" as well as be on a morning news program (Today show maybe?).
I thought her and Ronald had just been going out for four or five months, but in truth they have been going out since she was 13. Don't they have statutory rape laws in Florida? Here, even if a girl consents to sex, if she's under a certain age and the guy is over 18, he's going to jail if it is known that he had sex with the girl.

They act like Haleigh ran away and that by getting married, Haleigh will be happy and decide to return home. But in the next breath, they are sorry she missed the wedding.
What the hell is wrong with these people? And what about Misty walking out of an interview because she says that the new investigator didn't believe her, thought she was lying? Sound like anyone else we know.
This whole mess makes me truly concerned for our society. Here are two families that went about their dysfunctional lives until something really bad happened to them and now they are put under the microscope. How many others are out there???

You hit the nail right on the head when you said they act like she ran away! Oh please, what 5 year old girls runs around telling daddy to marry his girlfriend?? Maybe LE will be waiting for them when they get back to Florida. She sure sounds like she's been taking ques from that other "mom", who told and still tells nothing but lies. She said she walked out also because he was being rude to her. She is such a little idiot, a child is missing, and she's worried about some police officer being rude to her.

Does anyone notice Ronald and Misty seem to be playing the Hokey Pokey? The cousin was in the house, the cousin was not in the house, a repair man was in the house, a repair man was not in the house, I put my right foot in, I take my right foot out...
And then they wonder why law enforcement keeps questioning Misty. Misty has said:
Her cousin from out of town was in the house visiting that night A repairman was in the house that night No one was in the house that night
Ronald has said:
No one was in the house that night except Misty, and his daughter and son.
Ronald's mother:
The cousin from out of town was in the house that night. A repair man was in the house that night. Her mother was in the house that night bringing over some clothes.

Well, one thing I must give Ronald ... he's been answering all the questions NG's thrown his way ...
I highly doubt he has anything to do with it . I KNOW he didn't. Simply because he's got an airtight alibi.
Now, a 17yr old, playing house. I dunno. My jury is still out on this one. She could be alot more mature than some other 17 yr olds I know.
I won't hold the age thing against them. It was quite common back in the day for people to get married at 17 (even an 8 yr difference). So, in my eyes ... the age thing is irrelevant.

I totally agree Ronald had nothing to do with it, I'm half sure Misty didn't have anything to do with it either. But I think she ain't telling the whole story, I think she wasn't in the house when Haleigh disappeared. I think that's why the door was propped open, she was nearby and propped the door open in the hopes she could hear if one of the babies woke up. But obviously not near enough to see someone entering the home. I really believe someone had seen this beautiful little girl playing in the front yard one day and saw an opportunity, and staked the place out, or already knew the family. But maybe this person just saw Misty leave every now and then to go do whatever and waited for the chance to run in their and snag Haleigh.
I don't think it's a matter of her age either. I used to have a 13 year old babysit my oldest son when he was young and she was the best baby sitter ever. I think it's just that Misty is not telling the whole story, and if she would, the search for Haleigh would be more productive. I think her continually changing stories is hindering a productive search for Haleigh. I think Misty is afraid Ron will be angry with her and even beat her, and after the way he was calling her names on that 911 tape, I don't doubt that's what he would do.
It's not the fact a 17 year old married a 25 year old either. My maternal great grandma married a 25 year old man when she was 13 and had a baby while she was still 13, (and had her last one at 57!), and she ran a household just fine. My paternal granny married when she was 16 (after coming here to the states from Ireland) and even tho she was 4'9", her six foot tall sons never questioned her authority in the household. It's definitely not a matter of how old but how mature, and I realize we have to have laws now that protect underage children because there are scurrilous people out there who take advantage of the young and do horrible things. And those are good laws.
It's just a matter of timing for Ron and Misty, I think it was really bogus for them to get married at this time.

diva u n I are pretty much on par with our ideologies ... yeah timing was off for the marriage, but in desperate situations, love makes you do crazy things.
I believe they married because of all the negative attention towards Misty, this was Ron's way of saying "no matter what I love you". My guess is all. I'm sure I'm not conveying this properly. And by no means do I mean, "no matter what" includes her 1st hand in Hayleigh's disappearance.

I 100% agree with you. Maybe they planned to get married all along, but I think Ron hurried it along as his way of saying "I support you fully." There is just a lot of negative attention on Misty but I think it wouldn't be so bad if she'd tell the whole story. She's holding something back. And you can see in Ron's demeanor his focus has shifted somewhat. He still desperately wants his daughter back, but he is focusing a lot on defending Misty. I think eventually, when Misty breaks (if she breaks) I'd like to see how any of Ron's family supports her then.

We must remember that Misty is still only 17. Yes, I know age doesn't matter. But that was in reference to her relationship with Ron.
I'll tell you what ... I'm sure this girl is scared shitless. Afterall, I'm sure she's fully aware of the Anthony melee.
While she's years ahead of herself, she is still in a sense a baby. I can only imagine what is going through her mind.
