janea u aren't losing friends you've gained once you became an official dweller ... we're like a bunch of ol' men who get drunk at a bar .. . get in heated debate .. .smack each other around ... sleep it off ... go golfing ... then out for drinks again the next night ... don't take anything personal here in the political forum ... opinions are welcomed and never censored ... we (mods) only step in if there are personal attacks on another dweller ... and there hasn't been ... so have another beer mate ... I'll meet ya outside ... btw ... don't forget our 9am Tee time btw ... i deleted ur double post Thanks for looking out for me Mom! I feel warm fuzzies ... kind of... Thanks for reassuring me that my opinion are just that... and nothing personal... and I am safe in the basement... oxoxoxoxo Good night mom! Yes the lights are off... I'm closing my eyes... no, I'm not texting my friends... can I have another rum and diet coke??? or a mai tai??? How about some xanax??? LOL Although, I'm not sure if Stacy will ever forgive me for stealing her Magic Balls or you can forgive me for whipping your butt at Jingo. I have a new high score to post!!!! hey socalimom, NO FUCKING FAIR! I didnt get my xanax, nary a beverage, and these pretzels are stale.....and you know, it's 1:47am, I really could use that damn xanax, lol...... but I have to say to you socalimom, I appreciate the graciousness and reassuring reply to janea.....I cant speak for all of you, but I know that my forum surfing had left a bad taste in my mouth for awhile, till I found the basement. I have yet to see a post that could be construed as a personal attack, only differing opinions that will never be settled, and that's the way the world will always be....remember what mom said when we were kids "well if everyone were the same it would be pretty boring wouldnt it?"...........I appreciate everyone's honesty on this subject, I appreciate that those of who's opinions deviate from mine and janea's arent going to be screaming that we should be in "TIME OUT", LOFL!! It's so obvious here in the basement that we are adults, we can have polar opposite opinions, yet still post together without it turning into a clusterfuck of recriminations, name calling and the like.....I fucking love it here, I know some of think I am quite mad for my political beliefs, but I bet ya'll would still put a drink on the tab for me...thanks all... Hey janea, I am outing myself, lol......janea posted earlier about a PM she rec'd, it was from me, and when she commented she didnt "out" me, didnt want me to feel weird, etc. I thought to myself "That is so considerate, and I appreciate janea's loyalty....now pass the damn xanax please and thank you!! I have to go another round tomorrow with my daughter's boyfriends mommy, who hates my sweet, perfect daughter, a woman for who NO ONE will do when it comes to her son......ugh. We had round one this afternoon, and I dont think she's finished yet.....

wtf ... I thought it was just me but I know for a fact my posts are fucking disappearing!!!! So once a fucking again ... Voter Says He Voted “Couple Times” to CNN CNN reporter [Brian Todd]: “I think that’s against the law but that’s ok.” now tell me Obama won fair n square ... oh and if that doesn't convince you ... one word ... ACORN give 'em 2 years then shit will hit the fan ... again ... the reds will blame the blues like the blues blamed the reds ... a vicious cycle ... time for another party to take hold of the government because as far as I'm concerned they both fucked this country up ... they're like a couple of stepdaughters messin' with Cinderella's good life. (thanks Jesco) Yes that is against the law and the law should deal with that. I agree that uneducated people voted for Obama because he is black, but same can be said for people who voted for McCain simply on the basis that he is not black. I can see that I am not gaining any friends by voicing my opinions. I would like to think of this forum as a place for the outcasts, and thought that most of the members were very albeit opinionated, but free thinking. See this is why I don't talk politics!!!!!!!!!!! Janae, I don't give a flying fig who you voted for. You are free to vote for whoever you want, I like you the same no matter what. I just don't personaly like Obama, but you are free to. I hope he works out too. I could give 2 poop piles that he is black, really. He turned my stomach a few months ago when he said, to a question in a church at a debate type thing, that "that was above his paygrade," when speaking about rights of children born that were supposed to die of late abortions and still lived. He meant that that was God's job to decide if the baby should live, not his, and care should not be even tried if the parents chose to abort. So, the babies die in stock rooms. But, who you voted for or who you trust or believe in has no bearing on what I think of you. You are a dweller as I am and I love you all.

Let us remember that not too long ago, the nation was deeply divided about the first Roman catholic elected to the White House... a young charismatic Senator from Massachusetts...

Hey, gang -- it's me...I didn't mean to like dump and run on this thread. LOL. That's what happens when you forget to pay your ISP bill, I guess. Jane, just want you to know, I've had a couple of days to think about things. Quite honestly, I've been talking politics a couple of places, including, well, WS. But one woman over there got me to do some real soul searching, and she said I got her to do some, too. Bottom line? Originally disappointed? Yes. Willing to give the man a chance? Yes. Willing to blast him from here to kingdom come if he doesn't deliver? Yes. Willing to admit I was wrong if he does deliver. Yes. This has been a trying process for me. I'm of the 'older' persuasion, you see. And during these few days, I've come to the realization that it's not about the color of his skin at all. It's just such widespread, sweeping, change is something I don't recall seeing. I hope it works. We have a lot of things that are broken and need to be fixed. BUT -- the big shocker to me is that, well, the younger generation rules now. We old folks aren't the guiding light anymore. We should be sitting back resting on our laurels for the way we've raised the younger generation. But there's a lot of concern, at least on my part, that we'll be forgotten! waahhhwaaahhhh. Hope he doesn't disappoint.

See I knew there was a reason to like you Big O. I can always count on you for a good laugh! To all, I was just a little surprised but that clip and didn't know what to make of it. I was also surprised how many of you were McCain supporters. Maybe I was a little harsh when I said I wasn't gaining any friends. I didn't mean that I was losing friends!!! I was trying to be a uniter not a divider. I will be the first to call Obama a fucktard (can't believe I just typed that, you gals are a bad influence on me if he screws up royally. But the more I hear from him, and read about him the more I like him. He won me over. There is a lot of work to be done to fix this nation and I am not expecting things to get done over night. We had a pep talk from our commissioner this morning and she was telling us that the economy was tanking all over the world. We are an international organization and the european and asian economies will effect our organization. But she does expect the US to get back on our feet before the rest of the world... Anyway... love you gals no matter your opinions... I never felt I was personally being attacked her... and I have never felt so at home as I do in the basement! Yes, QA, good to see you. If not for your myspace updates I would have been worried rather than just concerned. Sorry to hear about the tooth, but glad you didn't need a crown and found a hot doc. My OB/GYN is hot and I keep my annual appointment for sure!
