Not that the evidence isn't compelling enough, but it makes me wonder if they are seeking the death penalty to squash Baez and they will not have to deal with his antics at trail and even pre-trial!

Ahha! They are hoping that Casey will plea! Will she admit guilt... knowing that her knight in shining armor can not save her... that she could die? But even if she pleas, we will not know the whole truth. I doubt she will crack even under the threat of death. And I doubt Baez will let her plea. He would miss his month or more of TV time if there is no trial.
I'm not sure who is more arrogant, Casey or Baez, thinking they can get away with this and coming out smelling like roses! You know Baez is telling her that he is the right man for the job, and as delusional as she and the rest of Camp Crazy is, she's believing it.
Baez is planning on pinning this on Kronk! He is seeking phone records. BOZO to the end!!!

I am not that informed in "the law". How is it that if the death penalty is in play, the defendant can then enter into a plea agreement? Would it be conditional in that she would then have to admit to killing Caylee and tell the circumstances that led up to her death? Or maybe she'd be allowed to then get life? Not sure about all this however, I was overjoyed to hear she is finally getting some consequenses for her crime instead of trying to surpress laughing and giggling in court with her lawyers. The State must feel that the evidence is great enough to get a convicition; that it was a henious, cold blooded, horrible crime commited with aggravation and forthought. Awesome & Kudos to the State!!!! jenarosa

Awesome & Kudos to the State!!!! jenarosa If she accepts a plea deal, she does not need to admit guilt. The terms of the agreement would be set by prosector. In a death penalty case, the least they will offer her is second degree murder, which would most likely keep her in prison for life. The penalty would depend on the judge and her admission of guilt. She could accept the plea and plead no contest (no admission of guilt). Also if she accepts the plea, there would be no trial by jury. Or she can roll the dice and go to trial, which is probably what she will choose since she is "innocent"!

How can Baez blame this on Kronk now? All this time it has been Zanny the Nanny. Now that Cindy and George have phone numbers and addresses, they can just go and pick her up then huh? They cannot have it both ways. The prosecution has found compelling evidence. I understand as of last night, some lab work came back and dirt on caseys shoes match that at the "burial site" of Caylee. That is why apparently the DP has been put back on the table. The prosecution has top play this close to the vest. They cannot afford to show any cards other than the ones meant to be seen. I think Casey is going down and I certainly hope that her sick family goes with her in a blaze of glory! jami

Legal experts interviewed said that Baez can call the fired sheriff and Dominic Casey to say that they searched the area and there was nothing there. This will not hold water as there were roots growing through the laundr basket and the amount of leaf litter indicates that it was there for months, but all Baez needs reasonable doubt.

Now that the DP is back on the table, and Baiz can't head up the legal team anymore as he is not certified in DP cases, do you think that just screws up the defense strategy further? I can't possibly think that John Q. average american is so stupid (as far as a jury goes) to buy into the rederick so much that she gets off. I just cannot imagine any of them living any kind of "normal life" after this.

Oh, I've been away too long! Ok, first of all, did anyone notice on tonight's (Wednesday) NG, that there was a caption that kept coming up saying "Tot Mom's Atty. says that she is not a serial killer" ? WTF??? This cracks me up, because I think he's truly been sucked into KC's psychotic world, or he's a total clusterfuck. OR, Lee's influence has rubbed off, and he thinks he is pulling off a Jedi mind trick. People will be so mesmerized by his legal skills..."yeah, she's not a serial killer." OMG! Oh, please, please...don't toss Franken-Baez off the case...it will be popcorn-passing fun. Second thing I saw tonight on NG was in the latest round of cell phone/text records. The last day Camp Crazy said they saw Caylee was June 16 around noon - 1 pm. Then there was a record of KC texting/calling Jesse Grund that same day at 2:52 pm. She again texted/called him at LEAST one other time before CA rounded her up in July. That call/text was the one where KC told Jesse if the parents called him, ignore it and she'll tell him why later. SO...if they're all trying to throw Jesse under the bus, I hope that gets brought up. IF KC is so nervous about the "untrustworthy" Jesse, why in the HELL would she make those contacts at those times, as well as showing up to his place to shower?? Fuck, I wish I would have gone to law school. If only it would be for just one case where I could bust a cunt like KC.

Hey bookgirl, Welcome back. It's been kind of lonely here.
Did not watch NG, but it can see Baez saying that in the context of death penalty is usually reserved for serial killers and exceptionally brutal killings "Casey is not a serical killer" so why is she getting the death penalty. I've already heard Baez has said that this about a person grudge the DA office has against him.
Second, we all know why Casey went to take a shower at Jesse's place and left the door open. Tony was out of town, she was locked out of Ricardo's and she was looking for some action. I can just hear her now... "I went there to look for Caylee and left the door open so that I could keep an eye on Jesse!"

It came out today that Baez has admitted that Casey received $250K from ABC for the sale of photos and videos used in the Anthony interview. Than money was paid to Casey. So did she give it to C&G or Baez.
Baez can not seek public assistance to represent Casey. If he accepts the money, he and all of his "Dream Team' will have to work within the pay scale approved by the state and will have to open his financial books to the state.
