I, along with most of you have been wracking our brains as to "why" The Anthony's so steadfastly stand by Casey, even in the face of mounting new evidence that points directly at her as the murderess of little Caylee. The newest example of their continuing Love and Support is both Cindy and George were (suppose) to be deposed in the Zaneida Fernandez-Gonzalez defamation suit and both had chosen Not to show up for their deposition, probably because one of the questions on the deposition is, "Do you know who killed Caylee Anthony"? plus many other damning questions that I believe both Cindy & George know the answer to.
I was (am) having such a hard time understanding how parents could stand by while they know the reality- That Casey killed Caylee.
I did get a new perspective on why parents would do this especially when they loved the deceased victim so much. You'd think at some point they would have to turn their back but it seems their support just gets stronger by the day...
I was reading on-line last night about the Susan Smith case, actually it was her mothers website. It gave me some insight into the Anthony case.
Susan Smiths Mother supports, loves and cares for her daughter and writes about her undying love on the website. She said, "That Susan has progressed during her incarceration and really cares and loves people." She finds ways to buy friends and family gifts for special occasions or does hand work. She visits her daughter and they also have a circle of friends that remain steadfastly loyal to Susan (they just cannot imagine how she could have had a moment of temporary insanity where she killed her two kids). She wonders what will happen to her daughter when she dies and her family says that they will always go to see Susan and take care of her as long as they are alive.
She didn't talk much about her poor little deceased grandsons but she says that Susan was a wonderful mother, incapable of harming her children, she loved them so much. That it was a momentary "slip" of cognition or into a fantasy land that allowed Susan to commit such a heinous crime. She also said that when visitors come to see inmates and bring their babies that Susan "holds her breath" if they fall or trip afraid they will be hurt! There was a close family member that had a baby and she wanted to know the colors they were using in the babies room (Susan loves babies so!)
And! BTW her mother also written a web-book that can be purchased telling of Susan's life behind bars and her redemption.
(does that sound familiar?)
This shocked me! It is SO Similar to the Anthony case it is unreal.
The motive for killing the kids were the same (Anthony Lazzaro did not want a girl child) Casey said "You are absolutely my very favorite!" on her blog. It was a sudden murder (like they were just shaving their legs one day and decided to murder their kids.
The children were in the way of the mothers love/sex/party life holding them back from the men that they "could get" and the absolute undying support and love of the family no matter what!
Seems that this adult child was so loved by the parent that there is Nothing that they could do to (even murder their own flesh and blood) stop the parents crusade For that person.
Anyway, seeing that really cleared up some questions I had on how the Anthony's could get up at Caylee's funeral and make it about Casey and how we should not cast judgment on her.
