Confusion over car-swap today.Where was she going? « Thread Started on Oct 14, 2008, 6:38pm »
Sheriff's officials are trying to figure out where Casey Anthony was headed Tuesday afternoon when deputies pulled over the vehicle she was riding in on the BeachLine.
An agency spokesman confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel that at some point in the afternoon, before deputies stopped and caught Anthony, she changed vehicles under a highway overpass in east Orange County.
Anthony's mother, Cindy Anthony, reportedly pulled her vehicle over at Narcoossee Road and State Road 417, and Casey got out. Casey Anthony then got into a full-size grey SUV, which drove off.
It is unclear who owns the grey SUV and who was driving the vehicle.
The Orlando Sentinel called MacDonald Bail Bonds, one of the companies responsible for posting Anthony's $500,000 bond, but a man who answered the phone there said "no comment."

OTOH,
I have read multiple times today that OCSO retrieved tracking equipment from the A home after they arrested Casey.
Now, that could just be the monitoring modem, but it does make me pause and wonder if she also somehow ditched the ankle bracelet before she went to JB's.

I think not, but it did cross my mind.
Most likely it was the modem ... had she removed the anklet Casey would've been picked up prior to the GJ's announcement. Plus if she DID remove it, I seriously doubt her destination would've been Jose's.

Ok, someone from FL step in here --> where would she head on 528? Looks like they could hit 95 from 528 and head straight on up the coast?
Okey dokey. Technostupid, but I can read a map! And we're from Florida...And we even travel those roads a bunch!
You are absolutely right. If they continued east they could run right into I95 and head north or south. They could also cut off onto 520 and take a short-cut to 95 south. You could get really bizarre with thinking about 528, though. If they continued on 528, they'd run into Cocoa Beach, where, oh, cruise ships and stuff dock. If they headed to 520 to south 95, they could go down to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, all those places. Plus there are a bunch of airports in Florida. There's one in Sanford, just maybe 20 miles from Orlando. There's one in Melbourne, south on 95. There's one in West Palm Beach; Ft. Lauderdale; Miami. And there are also lots of cutoffs -- Florida Turnpike to the south; 95 north to I10 west. Or just keep going on 95. Got all that? But it sure doesn't look to me like they were headed to the jail. Seems like they would have pretty much gone straight up 441, which is a main thoroughfare.

See? See?
THAT is why I appreciate you - you can take it and give it! LMAO!
Excellent info. Now I am not thinking airport, as that is too easy to track, too many cameras, FLIGHT MANIFESTS to subpoena, etc.
I'm still thinking I95 straight up the coast to Canuckistan, and a plea for refugee status on the grounds that DP exists in FL. (Like the Ng case years ago. Caught on an escalator at the Bay in downtown Calgary.)

Well, she could. But it would probably take her less time to have gotten into Mexico. Shoot straight up 95 to I10 west. Straight across the top of Florida, through all those states before you get to Texas, and head straight to the border. There are lots of little border towns. Plus, they drive really really fast on interstate in Florida, so it wouldn't be a problem to get outta town fast! Speed limit's 70, but most people run at least 80-85. I looked down at my speedometer one day when I was driving I95, headed from Miami to Vero Beach, and I was going 87. Didn't matter; people were still flying by me!!!

I'm not sure what they were thinking. Come on the bail bondsmen were in the car behind Cindy and if Cindy was going to try to make it to Canada or Mexico, how far do you think she'd get in a billboard on wheels? Either way is at least a 24 hour drive.
I'm guessing that after yelling at the media, forgot where she was going and has heading for home.
